2024 Georgia Grown Executive Chef Program, Apply by January 31

Participant Requirements
The Georgia Department of Agriculture’s Georgia Grown program has partnered with the Georgia Restaurant Association for a statewide Georgia Grown Executive Chef program. The following terms outline the commitment to the Georgia Grown Executive Chef program.

1. Incorporate locally grown products into your menu, educating patrons about foods from local farms and generating awareness about the product and its producers.
2. Promotes and fosters a relationship between chefs and farmers while creating greater awareness among both restaurateurs and consumers about the availability of quality, local products in Georgia.
3. Demonstrates knowledge about which local Georgia products are available for the cooking season.
4. Assists local chefs with a strategy to incorporate locally grown produce into their menu.
5. Aim to provide public school culinary education and school food nutrition by educating, training, or developing recipes.
6. Provide a list of products you source locally and farms you work with and/or the approximate percentage of your menu that is sourced locally.
7. Commit to participating as a restaurant vendor at the Taste of Georgia on February 21, 2024.
8. Participate in a school demo, market demo, festival, or event at the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
9. Available on these dates:

• Taste of Georgia Legislative Reception on February 21, 2024
• Georgia ProStart Invitational on February 29, 2024, from 8 am-4 pm to judge
• Georgia Food and Wine Festival from March 22-24, 2024, for chef demos.
• Available for at least one other Georgia Grown event or outreach during the year.
